The River Discovery Center in Paducah is where kids can stimulate curiosity and understanding of the country’s vital river system through stories and interactive experiences. Exhibits include the Boat Simulator, Rain Table, Lock and Dan, Hidden Highways, River Bottoms, and River Spy.
Children have the opportunity to steer a speed boat, towboat, or Coast Guard vessel through different scenarios in a cutting-edge audio-visual experience. Additionally, the center’s simulator is the first of its kind, with realistic equipment, vibrations, and sounds similar to how it would be on the water.
The Habitat Corner gives kids a chance to explore different river habitats. Furthermore, The River Floodplain includes information about hardwood forests, floodplains, standing water, swamps, and water-loving plants and animals. The Aquatic Habitat also includes information about native fish, recreational fishing, popular river sports, and shorelines.

Bob Noble Park is Paducah’s best park, with various recreational activities spanning over 135 acres. Bob Noble Park is located around a 5-acre lake and includes a bridge, gazebos, fishing piers, a walking path, a swimming pool, access to the Greenway Trail, two large playgrounds, a music garden, tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, a skatepark, ball fields, an amphitheater, nature trail, arts and crafts building, and community center.
There is also an outdoor theater that hosts concerts and gatherings. Behind the theater is a nature trail and the Peck Educational Trail. Noble Park features two large playgrounds. Additionally, the larger playground is a certified Boundless Playground. The Music Garden is a fun place for kids, with a musical playground filled with instruments. Finally, The Noble Park Pool includes a splash pad, diving boards, water slides, a concession stand, and picnic areas.

Atomic City, built in an old furniture store, opened in 2020. This fun-filled spot includes Go Karts, an arcade, and The Flip Zone.
